This report presents the results of a survey on music preferences. I asked 40 friends about their favourite genre and when they listen to music most.

According to the results, pop is the most popular genre, as it was chosen by 16 friends (40%). Rock comes second with 25%, while only 15% prefer Turkish folk music. As for listening habits, 45% of the participants listen to music on the way to school, and 30% listen while studying.

In conclusion, pop and rock are the favourites of most of my friends. Therefore, I recommend that the school radio should play more of these genres in the morning.

Example:

The aim of this report is to describe the music preferences of the teachers at our school. I interviewed 20 teachers and asked them three questions.

The most popular genre is Turkish classical music (35%), followed by Turkish folk music (30%). Only 20% chose pop, and 15% prefer jazz. In addition, 60% of the teachers said that their tastes had changed since they were teenagers. More than half of them (55%) listen to music in order to relax. One teacher told me that nothing else helped her to calm down after a long day.

To sum up, most teachers prefer traditional Turkish music, and more than half of them listen to music mainly to relax.
