(1) Nazlı, whom I have known since primary school, is the most thoughtful person I have ever met. (2) She remembers small details about people, such as their favourite snack or the date of an important exam. (3) When I failed my driving test, she turned up at my door with a funny card and asked no questions. (4) The test centre is on the edge of town, and its car park is usually full in the mornings. (5) She is also a patient listener who never interrupts or rushes to give advice. (6) Thanks to these qualities, people trust her easily.

(3) Ferries in Istanbul carry thousands of commuters across the Bosphorus every day. (4) Tarık, on the other hand, is a quiet boy who prefers one long conversation to a crowded room. (5) When Cem acts without thinking, Tarık is the one who calmly points out the risks. (6) Cheap data packages have made it easier for people to send messages abroad. (7) In return, Cem encourages Tarık to try new things and meet new people.
